First meteor shower of 2012, don’t miss out!
As I stated in my “What is there to look forward to in 2012?" post, there are bunches of sky events to look forward to this year. Favoring North America, the first event will occur in the predawn hours (2:30 a.m. EST [0730 GMT]) on Wednesday (January fourth) and it is called Quadrantid meteor shower peaks. While Quadrantids are very unpredictable, this year, the stars are looking very promising. If you’re a star-watcher in North America, bundle up and enjoy the show!
